Stress Management Using The Yogic and Ayurvedic Lifestyle

Ayurvedic wisdom empowers you to choose appropriate yoga and lifestyle practices to balance out your unique stress profile. Ayurveda is the sister science of yoga and the oldest traditional medicine system that is still in use today. With roots in ancient India, Ayurveda was developed in tandem with yoga as two sides of the same coin. All yoga practices, meditations, herbs, spices, foods, habits, and decisions have a specific energetic effect on our bodies that will either help us or harm us.

Verbal Cues and Hands-On Adjustments: A Workshop for Teachers and Students

Join Jillian Glikbarg and Stephanie Chee Barea for a full day of practice, discussion, and collaboration as we explore teaching techniques for more effective verbal cues and hands-on adjustments.  Teachers will develop postural observation skills; learn and practice adjustments that both address common misalignments and encourage inner guidance in a variety of poses; enhance the skill of linking clear verbal cues with tactile cues; and deepen confidence in the practice of giving and receiving as you learn to better help students find joy and ease amidst the challenges in their practice.

A limited number of student spaces are available for this workshop, to learn and refine foundational postures and alignment with highly individualized teacher attention (1:1 or 2:1) throughout the day.  This is a fantastic opportunity for students of all levels, ages, body types and experience.
