Healing from trauma is vulnerable, courageous, and essential work for the Self. Trauma manifests in the body as stagnant energy affecting our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By bringing heightened awareness to the body we can begin the process of healing from the inside out. In this 6-week series with yoga therapist Rachel Jennine Goudey specific asanas, pranayama practices, meditations and relaxation techniques will be explored, taught, and practiced to suit the needs of each client in healing on all levels (mind, body, spirit). We will learn how to utilize our yoga practice to repair and work with our nervous systems; overcoming trauma and feeling empowered, strong, and capable.
Rachel has over 10 years experience working in the field of mental health, and creates a sacred and safe healing space in her classes for clients to touch-in on their healing practice at their own pace, while feeling supported and uplifted by community.
